Affiliate Marketing - Never Too Early For The Holidays!

If you're an affiliate marketer, you know that the "holiday buying season" is the heavy sales time when you can make the lions share of your commissions.

So what should you be doing now? Well, this is exactly the right time to be setting up your product sales sites, working on getting them ranked, getting articles out there, etc.

If I think back to last Christmas season, I can recall some of the gifts I received, such as a Homedics Massage Chair, that can help stimulate ideas. What's hot, what are people going to be searching for and buying?

My brother recently had a baby girl, and I know one of the things him and his wife are consumed with is Baby Potty Training. Plenty of baby products to become an affiliate for and promote!

And thinking along those lines, I know my sister-in-law had been looking to get the best vacuum cleaner, and had been searching for Miele vacuums on sale. This is the sort of thing that should get your affiliate product brain percolating!

As an affiliate marketer, you should always be thinking of new products, and product categories to market into. Just imagine if you had latched onto the Nintendo Wii just when it was released, or Amazon's new Kindle reader, etc., etc.

In most cases, you can go to one of the major networks, such as Commission Junction, in order to find products, or to search for ideas. Some manufacturers have their own programs. Just go to Google, do a search on the product name, plus "affiliate" - or go to the mfg.'s home page and see if they have a link on their website.

These days, you can market virtually any product. And with all that money to be spend around the winter holiday season, it's never too early to begin positioning yourself.

It's much harder to "break into the pack" when the time is already here, so the work you put in today can have a huge payoff with a much lower effort!
