Article on Web-Based Marketing Firms

I came across this article recently about web-based marketing firms. Whether you're just getting ready to launch your online business empire, or have been online for quite a while, I think you'll find this article to be worthwhile.

If you disagree with what the author is saying, or would like to add some of your own experiences, please go ahead and leave your comments below. If you have other ideas, we'd love to hear about those as well.

------------

This content covers the difficulties that you will encounter once you start a web-based, Internet, or home-based business. Starting an internet or work-at-home business is probably the most worthwhile venture you'll be able to carry out. But bear in mind, there are definite stumbling blocks that can make certain you turn out like many of the failures. Comprehending these problem areas ensures that you could dodge or triumph over them to plot your path to El Dorado.

The difficulties that you will encounter include impractical monetary expectations, get-rich-quick swindles, hype, too much work, inadequate time, quitting too easily, high technology, and intellectual intricacy.

These challenges are described as follows:

1. UNREALISTIC MONETARY EXPECTATIONS. Most newcomers begin with the notion that you can easily make money online. They hear about the online marketplace being the place for automated income-generating machines and suppose they'll simply get in and begin to make a killing. You can make good money online and, for those who know what to do, it is dead easy. But you must learn the ropes before you can accomplish your success. It will take time!

2. MAKE-MONEY-FAST SCHEMES. Novices face get-rich-quick schemes the instant they step foot online and try to run a web-based, Internet, or home business. Their belief in getting rich quick makes them fall for con artists who take benefit from our built-in greed and laziness in order to sell us dodgy products.

3. HYPE. The net is the nesting ground for hype or overstated claims. Everyone is looking to get your attention, to have cash out of your wallet. Beginners submit to this hype without studying the facts. The end result is despair, particularly when they discover that their belief in getting rich quick is just not materialised in a product.

4. TOO MUCH WORK. Newcomers, after finally understanding you have to work for your keep online, become disenchanted. They lose interest and depart. Online, Internet, or work-from-home business is only too much work when you keep taking the wrong turn every time. When you start out on the right road it is certainly effort, but not too much work.

5. NOT ENOUGH TIME. A few newcomers might possibly not have the required time to commit to their work-at-home business. This is notably true when you're combining it with full or part-time work. Then you must turn to ready-made, semi- or fully-automated tools to speed up work on your web enterprise. Even when you've got enough time, it is always essential to use tools to reduce your workload.

6. ABANDONING EASILY. This occurs with lazy people, who would like money but they don't relish to work for it. This also happens with folks who approach their ecommerce business with false expectations, the expectations of having it easy while making a quick buck.

7. HIGH TECH. A web-based or home-based small-business is a high-tech business, but you won't have to be high-tech to run a rewarding one. Semi- or fully-automated software tools remove the complexity of managing a web-based, Internet, or home-based commercial-enterprise so that everybody can succeed at it, if they have a winning mentality.

8. INTELLECTUAL DIFFICULTY. An online business is an intellectual business. Which means there are always completely new stuff to master when you start and manage it. That doesn't mean that you need to be described as a powerful intellectual to have success at your web business.

This article has analyzed eight vital complications that you'll encounter once you embark on your online, Internet, or home-based small-business. It has described the difficulties somewhat, but this begs the question of how you might prevail over them to manage a victorious online enterprise. After all, this is exactly what you are interested in when you're getting started or when you are managing a struggling home-based business. In essence, you wish to start up on a positive footing or to make certain that your next turn is not a faux pas.

Just a few things you must remember:

* You've what it takes to have success at your work-at-home business.

* A lot of people who started a work-from-home business have excelled, and these individuals are not gods.

* Anyone who undertakes a vital project such as a business at home starts out unclear, frightened, shy, and stressed. So you are not alone!

* As you work on your home business, you will grow emotionally and intellectually. This will drive away your uncertainties and anxieties. You’ll become self-assured and confident and in control.

* When you’ve finally got there and you’re making the cash you are looking for from your work-at-home business, you’ll look back (like others have) and ask yourself why the trail couldn’t be straighter. But again that’s life! It’s always easier to become wise after the fact.

Sorry to say, owing to constraints in space, we simply cannot deal with the triumphs in this article. But if you are interested you can follow them through this home business enterprise link.

Marketing Outside The Box

By Melanie Ullman

For most Internet business, marketing generally tends to consist of the basic IM strategies such as Article Marketing, Social Bookmarking, etc. Increasingly, however, the most successful businesses get there by thinking "outside the box".

For some types of businesses, this can present a challenge. As an example, this site about potty training girls might not be the sort of topic that lends itself well to casual conversation.

However, most businesses online tend to fall into the more traditional arena of product & service purveyors, such as ecommerce sites like this one talking about Homedics back massager products.

What is "outside the box" marketing consist of? To answer that, let's first look at what marketing itself is. In this context, marketing is the means of finding prospects, people who would have an interest in the product or service we are selling. We could also think of marketing as traffic generation. As an online business, our "business address" is our website. By getting more people to show up at our website, we increase our business, whether that means more sales, more sign-ups, etc.

So how can we increase traffic by thinking outside the box? Here are a few ideas; hopefully these will serve to spark some creative thinking to come up with additional ways.

Traditional advertising avenues

Using the more traditional means of advertising, we can increase the number of people coming to our website. These might include classified ads in newspapers, newsletters, and bulletin boards. Placing free or low-cost advertisements with our website address can generate traffic that we might not otherwise get through those common online marketing methods.

Organizations and affinity groups

Word-of-mouth is very powerful. By finding and joining groups such as our local Chamber of Commerce, we have the opportunity to get our message across and attract new prospects to our website. Affinity, or special interest groups can server the same purpose.

Reciprocal advertising

In the IM world, this often consists of emailing to each others lists. Thinking outside the box, we can talk to "bricks & mortar" businesses and offer to mention them in return for having a flyer with our website address posted at their location.

These are just a few of the ways we can market our business and increase our traffic beyond the current online methods we now use. By simply thinking along different lines, you will find yourself starting to look at marketing in whole new ways. Spend a little time each day thinking about how to get your website address in front of people. You'll find there are an almost unlimited number of opportunities for marketing, most of which can reach an entirely new and different set of prospects than current online methods!

Home Based Business Tips

A good article for those who are just starting out, and looking to build up their own home-based business. Using the internet has become a gateway for many people to build either a supplemental income stream, or pursue their dreams of being able to quit their 9-5 life for something better.

Article by Dennis Stokes

I think everybody's goal in business is to simply...stay in business. And build that business into something that makes a great profit for years to come.

Although so many businesses large and small are started every year, over 90% of businesses fail. Why is that?

Here are 3 proven business success tips that will give you a great chance for massive success in the long term.

1) Make a definitive decision to succeed. What else can be said about this business success tip? You need to decide that losing isn't an option. I recall listening to my high school history teacher talk about how the Vikings prepared for war. They prepared with that no lose option.

These ultimate warriors would come to war with a no lose mentality. Before taking the offensive, they would burn every single boat they arrived with. This would seal their resolve to either conquer or die....simple as that. They left themselves with no other options.

So how does that relate to your business? If you thought like the Vikings of old, do you think you could succeed in your business? I would have to say...YES...to that mindset.

It's extremely vital that you know where you want to go. If you have a clear vision of your outcome...then all you have to do is set your goals in a backwards fashion. You will then have the steps needed to progress in your business.

It's critical you do something...this business success tip can't be neglected. Take the needed action and keep doing. Don't get caught waiting for things to happen.

2) Be actively compiling a database of customers. Of all the business success tips, this can't be overlooked. This list will no doubt become your number one asset. If you want long-term success in your business, take this as seriously as breathing. Never stop building your list...never!!

Your customer database will be your best asset in your business. You have the power to literally generate profits year in and year out with a loyal customer list. Selling your products and also those of other companies that closely relate to yours. Just be certain other companies products aren't competing with yours. Use this business success tip and see your business succeed for the long-term.

A business success tip of doing the work once and get paid over and over from that effort. This is the kind of result I'm looking for in my business.

If you want to know what it takes to compile a large, responsive customer list... go to listbuilding.com. Tellman Knudsen practices what he preaches and knows all the ins-outs of list building.

3) Track and evaluate your business. The final one of the successful business tips is to track. Any successful business tracks everything...They know exactly what results they are going to get because of this business success tip. By knowing the real scoop on what's working or not.....you can add or eliminate what's working and not working and cut out losses that could eventually put you right out of business.

So to conclude, take these business success tip to heart. If you do them and act like the Vikings in approaching your business, you will succeed and be so glad you did.

Niche Marketing Is All About Finding Great Niches!

For those of you who aren't new to Internet marketing, you know it's a lot about niche marketing - finding areas of interest that aren't monstrously competitive. There are plenty of tools and well-known means of conducting niche research.

Looking through Amazon's "Best Sellers" lists will tell you what people are finding interesting. Ebay's "Pulse" gives great insight into "whats hot" in terms of consumer spending and buying.

Just going to any "super store" such as Walmart, browsing the merchandise, and you can get a feel for what's selling.

Well, beyond product-centric marketing, there are many "informational" niches that can be just as rewarding for affiliate offers, CPA lead offers, contextual advertising, etc.

Free CNA Training is an example of a niche that I looked into. People are hungry for information about CNA training, along with a thousand other purely-informational topics.

This one was a double-hitter: health care, which has great interest, and education. A similar niche I've explored is nursing. LPN nursing class also covers both education and the health care field.

You can even magnify the interest by going where people are when they start looking: Online LPN Nursing Classes!

These are just a few examples of niches outside the more traditional, and sometimes overcrowded consumer product marketing areas.

Spend some time thinking about what other people are thinking about. Not just what hot items they want to buy, but what they are truly interested in, area's of interest, hobbies, professions, careers, things they might want to study.

You'll open up huge new vistas of potential, entirely different markets for affiliate products, CPA offers, and all the other ways you might consider monetizing your web sites!

Plenty of Internet Business Opportunities, But Plenty Of Scams!

Opportunities & Scams
By Isabel Allen

More and more people are getting attracted to online businesses and there are a lot of business opportunities and ideas available over the net.

While the number of opportunities grows, beware of the scams as there are a lot of fraudulent offers for online business opportunities that promises the viewers extraordinary results, often with false testimonials explaining the success stories of individuals who have made lots of money within a short period of time.

Beware of these scams so as you can save yourself from loosing your hard earned money. Not all the opportunities are scams, there are also genuine and highly profitable business opportunities that you can start online and work at the comfort of your home at your own preferred time and convenience. You can search the net to get a better idea for starting your own business online and earn those extra cash working part time.

You can even quit your job and start working full time once the online business succeeds and starts yielding huge profits. You can start your online business with your own business ideas and to promote them and to attract customers you would require to have an attractive, well designed and functional website.

Creating your own website and improving the traffic through search engine optimization is a very good source for marketing your business online and can attract more and more customers. The contents of the website should be interesting and informative that it convinces the visitors and induces them to try the product or services.

You can do almost any businesses over the net with the help of a website and the more you promote your website the more would be your sales. The online business opportunity spans over a large area since they are open to the whole world and hence there are chances of making huge profits if you get it the right way. You don’t require an office or huge investments to start online businesses but still can earn huge profits.

If you desire to do business from the comfort of your home and be your own boss then online business opportunities are the best option for you.

Back - And Blasting Out A New Experiment!

Well, after quite a long absence from marketing, I'm back with a renewed plan and internet marketing strategy.

I'm beginning with something of an experiment. Part of the experiment involves testing to see how long it takes to get a brand new site up, indexed, and ranking in the SERPS. I'm beginning the 'test' with five new domains and sites:

Homedics Back Massager

Pool Vacuum Cleaners
Gas Leaf Blowers
Portable Propane Heaters
Atomic Wall Clocks

Of these sites, there are two .com TLD's, two .org TLD's, and one .info TLD. I've gone through just the very basics of on-page SEO.

Off-page SEO - meaning back link building - has consisted of a very basic campaign. I've submitted the first page of each site to Digg, Blinklist, added it to StumbleUpon, and used Onlywire to tag them to about a dozen more social bookmarking sites.

In addition, each site has 1-3 articles submitted to article directories including Ezinearticles and Goarticles.

I'll be watching and tracking the progress, meaning how long it takes each web site to get indexed, where in the SERPS the initial ranking is, and how long it takes for the other backlinks to show up.

I'll post my results here as I get them.

What Is Search Engine Marketing?

"SEM", or Search engine marketing, is a type of marketing that focuses on generating a high ranking on the Internet search engine results pages ("SERPs") of the major search engines. Search engine marketing – also known simply as "search marketing" – includes search engine optimization (SEO) on the one hand, and various kinds of paid search engine marketing including "pay-per-click", "paid inclusion" and "paid placement" on the other.

A search engine is an information retrieval system designed to help users find information stored on the Internet. Essentially, search engines were built to help minimize the amount of time required to locate information. Nowadays, they are the main tool used by Internet users to find the information they want. Consequently, search engines are a major source of web traffic for many websites. Moreover, because search engine users tend not to look beyond the first few pages of results, the higher the ranking achieved by your website, the more search engine traffic it is likely to receive.

Search engine optimization is the process of increasing your search engine ranking for specific keywords. In other words, if you know that many of your prospective customers tend to search for your products and services using particular keywords, you want your site to be highly ranked in the SERPs for those keywords. In general, to achieve a high ranking, you need your website to be perceived by the search engines as being highly "relevant" for those keywords. Although the algorithms used by search engines are a carefully guarded secret, it is generally believed that this involves designing your website in a certain way, as well as attracting "back links" from other relevant ("authority") sites.

While achieving a high ranking in the SERPs via search engine optimization can take time and effort, it doesn't take much time to get a high ranking in the paid listings… if you're willing to pay! Essentially, you can have your site or ad appear high on the paid listings in return for a fee. Pay-per-click advertising, for example, is where the search engines display a short ad for your website on the right-hand side of the SERPs in return for a fee. The amount of this fee will depend on how popular are the keywords you're targeting. Fees can range from $0.05, to $5 to $50 per click!

Paid inclusion programs are programs where, in exchange for a fee, a search engine will guarantee the inclusion of your website listing. The downside of these programs is that they cannot guarantee that the pages will rank high for certain keyword searches. This is in contrast to paid placement programs, which do guarantee top listings if you pay a high enough fee. Paid placement can be particularly expensive. Both paid placement and paid inclusion typically involve a flat fee.

While there is a cost involved in either search engine optimization or paid search, both can be very cost effective compared to other means of advertising and marketing. It is generally wise for anyone with a website to consider pursuing some form of search engine marketing.

Guaranteed Traffic Formula

Traffic is the lifeblood of Internet marketing, ecommerce, and all online business.

There are many ways to generate traffic, from Pay per Click (ppc), to Free-for-All sites (FFA's). But one of the most popular methods being used today is Article Marketing.

Article marketing is done by submitting articles to article directories. The articles contain backlinks to your site by way of a "resource box". Someone reads the article, and hopefully clicks through to your site.

One of the best things about Article Marketing is that it is free (it is often referred to as "bum marketing", though this term encompasses much more).

There is a great article on generating traffic at the Improve Your Internet Marketing, the in-house blog of Analogy Marketing.

Follow their 'guaranteed' formula, and you can generate as much traffic to your sites as you like!

After many years online, after many failures and some successes, I have refined my “formula” for generating traffic. It revolves around article marketing, works, it’s repeatable, and it’s sustainable.

I posted a complete step-by-step "formula" to my blog at Analogy Marketing. Read it. Memorize it. Act on it. Live it!

Pay per click (PPC) is a wonderful thing - after all, I am a Google Adwords Certified Professional and manage over $100,000 in Adwords spending, but the bread and butter for most internet marketers revolves around free traffic methods.

The Truth about Hype and Internet Marketing

To be successful in Internet marketing, you have to have high-quality advertising. This means you have to present your product in the best light. However there is a difference between putting your best foot forward and hyping your product to the moon. In this article I will discuss how to use hype appropriately to positively help your sales argument. I will show you what to avoid when using hype so you don't get high refunds or tell flat-out lies which can get you in trouble with the law. After reading this article, you should be able to identify what is okay to write your advertisement and what will get you higher sales, and what you should avoid.

In order to sell something, your advertisement has to be believable. Too much hype means very little believability. If people believe your message, they will perceive you as an credible. If they don't, they will think you're con man. Hype doesn't sell products. Learning how to color your product or service and favorable lights, while still being believable, is what sells products.

Hype does have its place in advertising on the Internet, especially in certain markets. Some markets are so saturated that people won't respond to your message, unless you make it outrageous. This doesn't mean you make outrageous claims. This just means you put an interesting spin on your advertising. For example, a one legged golfer who can hit a drive 250 yards is more interesting than a two legged golfer who can hit a drive 300 yards when you're selling a golf instruction video. It's outrageous, and it probably has nothing to do with the product, but it's effective at getting attention. And if your ads don't get attention, they don't get read and you lose sales.

Techniques like these don't work on markets who have been over exposed to them. After awhile, these markets will become immune to tactics that they know are often manufactured to create urgency or interest. Use these wisely, and always know the state of awareness of your marketplace. What works well in one market will fail in another.
