For those of you who aren't new to Internet marketing, you know it's a lot about niche marketing - finding areas of interest that aren't monstrously competitive. There are plenty of tools and well-known means of conducting niche research.
Looking through Amazon's "Best Sellers" lists will tell you what people are finding interesting. Ebay's "Pulse" gives great insight into "whats hot" in terms of consumer spending and buying.
Just going to any "super store" such as Walmart, browsing the merchandise, and you can get a feel for what's selling.
Well, beyond product-centric marketing, there are many "informational" niches that can be just as rewarding for affiliate offers, CPA lead offers, contextual advertising, etc.
Free CNA Training is an example of a niche that I looked into. People are hungry for information about CNA training, along with a thousand other purely-informational topics.
This one was a double-hitter: health care, which has great interest, and education. A similar niche I've explored is nursing. LPN nursing class also covers both education and the health care field.
You can even magnify the interest by going where people are when they start looking: Online LPN Nursing Classes!
These are just a few examples of niches outside the more traditional, and sometimes overcrowded consumer product marketing areas.
Spend some time thinking about what other people are thinking about. Not just what hot items they want to buy, but what they are truly interested in, area's of interest, hobbies, professions, careers, things they might want to study.
You'll open up huge new vistas of potential, entirely different markets for affiliate products, CPA offers, and all the other ways you might consider monetizing your web sites!
