Viral Marketng - The Key To Affiliate Marketing Success

The key to increasing your Affiliate Market empire Have you ever tried to market and spread your online affiliate product only to face hardships and failure? Have you been trying to increase the reach of your online affiliate product but are failing quite miserably? Do you need a new method to increase the worth and customer base of your affiliate product? Look at a site such as the Home Business Reader.

If the answer is yes then you have come to the right place. Effectively marketing your affiliate product is one of the main things that one should have in mind if one wants to be successful. You do not want that you lose out on your profit because of the lack of proper marketing. Without a god marketing strategy people may not be able to recognize or even find your what your are selling. So what are the ways of spreading your business on the internet? Well there are many different methods that could help you market and spread your affiliate product.

These include methods such as marketing through advertisements, offers, email marketing, use of affiliates, etc. But all these methods are quite difficult to implement and rather slow and inefficient when it comes to increasing the size of your internet business rapidly. So there is a need for a way that is both fast and highly efficient and that could help spread information about your product like a wildfire in the jungle. One such method is viral marketing. But before we look into this method we must understand what viral marketing is.

Viral marketing is the use of social networking websites to spread awareness about your product and attract potential clients. So how can one start off with viral marketing? Well, let me give you a demonstration of a method that is both easy to use and provides an efficient way of attracting customers to your affiliate product. The first thing to do while starting with viral marketing is to set up an account on a popular networking site. Try to look for sites that offer you the opportunity to display your products and product information on your profile page. After this has been accomplished, the next step is to add contacts and make connections.

A lot of effort should be given to this because the larger your contact list the larger will be your business exposure. The next and the most important step in viral marketing is supplying information about your products to the people in your contact list. But this is not easy, if you try to market them your products in the traditional way they would most probably ignore you and your campaign may go down as a complete failure. The best way you could accomplish this is by creating a nice little video and putting your website and product links in that video.

This method is good because of the fact that if your video is liked by the people then they would share it further with their friends and this would make the video quite popular and your video would generate a lot of traffic and the links in your video would surely be noticed by potential customers who would come to know about your product, thus generating leads for you. This can help by spreading information about your affiliate product across the internet like a virus. And can lead to a large number of leads generated for your product which can in turn get converted into customers thus insuring success and profit for your affiliate marketing business.

Marketing Outside The Box

By Melanie Ullman

For most Internet business, marketing generally tends to consist of the basic IM strategies such as Article Marketing, Social Bookmarking, etc. Increasingly, however, the most successful businesses get there by thinking "outside the box".

For some types of businesses, this can present a challenge. As an example, this site about potty training girls might not be the sort of topic that lends itself well to casual conversation.

However, most businesses online tend to fall into the more traditional arena of product & service purveyors, such as ecommerce sites like this one talking about Homedics back massager products.

What is "outside the box" marketing consist of? To answer that, let's first look at what marketing itself is. In this context, marketing is the means of finding prospects, people who would have an interest in the product or service we are selling. We could also think of marketing as traffic generation. As an online business, our "business address" is our website. By getting more people to show up at our website, we increase our business, whether that means more sales, more sign-ups, etc.

So how can we increase traffic by thinking outside the box? Here are a few ideas; hopefully these will serve to spark some creative thinking to come up with additional ways.

Traditional advertising avenues

Using the more traditional means of advertising, we can increase the number of people coming to our website. These might include classified ads in newspapers, newsletters, and bulletin boards. Placing free or low-cost advertisements with our website address can generate traffic that we might not otherwise get through those common online marketing methods.

Organizations and affinity groups

Word-of-mouth is very powerful. By finding and joining groups such as our local Chamber of Commerce, we have the opportunity to get our message across and attract new prospects to our website. Affinity, or special interest groups can server the same purpose.

Reciprocal advertising

In the IM world, this often consists of emailing to each others lists. Thinking outside the box, we can talk to "bricks & mortar" businesses and offer to mention them in return for having a flyer with our website address posted at their location.

These are just a few of the ways we can market our business and increase our traffic beyond the current online methods we now use. By simply thinking along different lines, you will find yourself starting to look at marketing in whole new ways. Spend a little time each day thinking about how to get your website address in front of people. You'll find there are an almost unlimited number of opportunities for marketing, most of which can reach an entirely new and different set of prospects than current online methods!

New projects in MY world of Internet Marketing!

Last post I talked about ecommerce. That's how I started in the whole online business world. But my how things have changed and evolved! Currently I have a few new projects.

In the ecommerce space, I have a new site about Night Vision equipment. I got into this site after searching to find an airsoft thermal scope. I couldn't find what I was looking for, but saw a site selling various night vision equipment, infrared goggles, and some cool spy gear, up for auction, so I jumped on it!

Similar in some ways though not entirely 'ecommerce', I have a new blog about wine, specifically about how to make homemade wine. Great site, great graphics, and great information about wine in general, and how to make it yourself.

The rest of my new projects are in the "informational" arena. Based on my own interest in building my own family tree and trying to find genealogical information that didn't charge for access, I now have a site offering free genealogy search capability and information. Great information about how to track down your own family tree!

Lastly, I started a few new blogs. One is aimed at helping women suffering from yeast infections find relief, specifically how to find and use an effective yeast infection home remedy. I know if works as the information came from my 'better half' who has suffered from this Candida fungus.

And, really lastly, are two other informational sites:

Biblical Prosperity - about how to gain prosperity using the Bible as a guide;
Stop Smoking Help - for those with that awful nicotine or tobacco habit.

I'd be very interested in any of your comments. Go ahead and visit these sites, let me know what you think. Your input would be greatly appreciated!

Effective E-Commerce: Differenciation and Unique Value Proposition

It seems as though Internet marketing has shifted. Once upon a time, "Internet Marketing" meant "E-Commerce". But with the advent of Affiliate marketing, membership sites, and such, the basic online store has been relegated to 'has been' status.

The reality is a bit different. E-commerce still dwarfs all other forms of online marketing today. That said, it seems as if every article and website talking about Internet marketing has forgotten this fact.

And so, partially as a 'refresher', partly as a 'reminder to self' of the importance & significance of the humble online ecommerce store, and largely because it's a good outline, I wanted to reprint the article below (with permission, of course).

Even if your current business is purely 'soft' sales, pay-per-click, or some other means other than physical goods, it's good to remember what core online selling is all about.

And if you do have an Internet store or ecommerce site, I'm sure you'll be able to get something out of the article.

As always, please feel free to leave your comments, about ecommerce, online marketing, PPC, or any other topic.

Creating an Effective Ecommerce Site

by Stephen Grisham, Sr.

You'll need a "shopping cart" solution that visitors can use to make purchases at your site. Once the eCommerce site is up and running, the focus can shift to marketing and sales, which will increase the prospects for a good profit margin.

A Guide To Building An eCommerce Site

Selecting Ecommerce Software

There are a number of different programs, but the ones to focus on are a shopping cart solution, automatic shipping modules and payment gateways, like PayPal or Google Checkout. Research with regard to setting up a successful eCommerce site can be done through technology websites' reviews and publications. When you choose a software package, be sure to save all its components to your hard drive.

Personal Touches

Make a relatively small business work to your advantage by creating a more personal eCommerce site. A consistently high level of customer service establishes a bond between you and your customers.

Create personal touches with the addition of an "About Us" section to let customers know about the company's founding, its philosophy and its management team. Write a short statement of your experience and personalize it with a few snapshots. Be brief and subtle to maintain a high level of sincerity.

Blog

It is easy to use your blog to update your consumers on special promotions or on the introduction of new products. Blog posts should be somewhat informal in nature and should make you seem personable and approachable. To involve your consumer base, you can set up a comments section to allow participation.

FAQ/Contact Us

It is helpful to mention your name and/or those of your staff to enhance the personal aspect of your Ecommerce site. In addition, customers will feel more at ease if they know that they can contact you if a problem should arise with their order or if they have a special request.

Product Search

When designing your site, consider the manner in which people will search for products. For example, a search box would be an easy way for consumers to search for the exact product they're looking for. Another customer may want to look around and check out categories or prices. You can satisfy everyone by just providing different search options. On the homepage, you should showcase new arrivals, highlight upcoming products and make special offers easy to see. A forum or feedback page creates a community in which customers can research products and share useful information.

Gift Wrap, Other Extras

Once you have the basic eCommerce site running smoothly with an efficient checkout system, you can offer extras to boost sales as well as service. Gift wrapping is an example of such an extra. Consumers often turn to Internet retailers for gift purchases as well as gift ideas, so the next logical step is to offer gift wrapping.

Display Policies Clearly and Up-Front

Customers will find it a drag to discover a raft of hidden fees or unacceptable terms at the end of the transaction. You need to be honest with your customers if you want them to come back. Before initiating a transaction, customers want to know about return policies, added fees, and security/privacy policies. Let them know about these things right away to save everyone from wasting time.

Multi-Level Marketing is Alive and Well!

advent of e-commerce has made it easier than ever before to turn these dreams into reality.
Many people, however, are skeptical when they hear terms like "Multi-Level Marketing" or "
Network Marketing." In fact, you do not have to love multi-level marketing in order to use some
of its principles to your advantage.

Here are some aspects of multi-level marketing that you can use to make your own home
based business more effective and efficient.

1. Tax Advantages:

Take advantage of some of the tax breaks accorded to home endeavors, such as multi-level
marketing businesses.

If you have a physical inventory that you are storing in a separate room, you can possibly claim
the storage costs as a write-off. The same goes for a separate phone line and/or computer
equipment that you use exclusively for business purposes.

If you have to travel for your home business, this is also a possible source for a tax break. One
way to make it easier for you to claim these tax breaks is to set up a separate checking account
for your business expenses -- this will make it much less frustrating to sort out personal
expenses from business ones, and will make your deductions more credible.

2. Marketing Advantages:

Even if you are skeptical about multi-level marketing techniques, they often have very powerful
marketing networks in place that you can use to your advantage.

Having templates and examples for sales letters, web pages, and other advertising, as well as
contact and resource lists, can make your life much easier. Why start from scratch when others
have already done the ground work for you? Even if you don't want to follow a plan exactly
step-for-step, it will still give you some ideas for marketing your own home business.

3. Group Advantages:

Remember that there is strength in numbers. From the perspective of multi-level marketing, this means that you will get to deal with a large number of people who have already been there and can help you with any difficulties that you may encounter. Using the experience and knowledge of others is the best way to avoid making simple mistakes in your own business.
Many companies will provide means for you to share information, sales tips, and even success
stories with other representatives. All of these resources can help you as you refine your home
business.

Multi-level marketing has sometimes gotten a bad reputation. However, there are many
extremely reputable companies that utilize this marketing technique with a huge level of
success, both in terms of profit and customer satisfaction.

Even if you remain skeptical, these companies can still teach many lessons and provide the
resources to help make you and your business a success!

Marketing in 2010 - the New Age of Internet Markting

I recently launched a new informational website in the life insurance niche. Specifically, it's intended to provide information about the differences of Term Life Insurance vs Whole Life Insurance for those looking for coverage. It's monetized through contextual advertising, but differently than I might have done so years back.

Back in the early days of Internet marketing, there were much fewer ways to make money online, however the general sophistication of marketers was considerably lower. Many of the online business models we take for granted today, such as video marketing, CPA or Cost Per Action, and many more didn't even exist yet.

Today there are literally dozens of different business models. Many of the "tried & true" methods and platforms still exist, but have gotten much more sophisticated - both in the skills necessary, and the level of the consumer.

Email marketing continues to be very big, largely because email communications has continued to grow exponentially. And in that case, the effectiveness relies on a very sturdy and stable concept - communications with an audience. The main changes have been that people become immune to many of the more common marketing messages, and spam filters increasingly filter out these types of emails. However in general, building up trust by communicating directly with an audience continues to be one of the most effective forms of marketing.

To be effective in 2010, the Internet marketer must evolve with the market. It's imperative to keep up with the changes in technology. For example, Social Bookmarking and Social Media, which didn't exist at all a few years ago, has grown into an essential part of many people's online experiences. Beyond Myspace, there is Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and many more social "Web 2.0" platforms. Learning how use these newer mediums is essential.

Along with the newer technologies, it's equally important to follow and keep up with the trends in online marketing. For instance, Pay Per Click (PPC) or Search Engine Marketing (SEM) has gone from a relatively inexpensive means of purchasing traffic, to a mega-competitive field where the inexperienced user can very quickly lose their shirts - and wallets!

So how do we get on top of, and stay on top of the newer trends and methods? One sure-fire way is to simply be observant. Look around you - your own email inbox, the places you go when you're surfing online, etc. See what stands out, what other marketers are doing, and take note. Dissect what they're doing, and how they are going about it. Read Ads, particularly the ones that catch your attention. This is one of the best and most effective means of strategic marketing research.

Make sure you avail yourself to the tools available as well. Applications such as Google's Webmaster Tools becomes an invaluable lifeline to what is going on with your own websites.

Spend some time on the marketing forums. Not only should you be asking questions, you should pay particular attention to the threads of other marketers. Reading these threads can not only keep you abreast of new affiliate products, marketing opportunities, and methods, but can give you the necessary insight into how others are using them effectively.

They say "Nothing is new under the sun", however in this business, that's a dangerous perspective. The technology changes, and as it does some methods become obsolete, while others take their place.

Remember, your survival as a successful Internet marketer depends on taking advantage of the "right" tools and opportunities!

Home Based Business Tips

A good article for those who are just starting out, and looking to build up their own home-based business. Using the internet has become a gateway for many people to build either a supplemental income stream, or pursue their dreams of being able to quit their 9-5 life for something better.

Article by Dennis Stokes

I think everybody's goal in business is to simply...stay in business. And build that business into something that makes a great profit for years to come.

Although so many businesses large and small are started every year, over 90% of businesses fail. Why is that?

Here are 3 proven business success tips that will give you a great chance for massive success in the long term.

1) Make a definitive decision to succeed. What else can be said about this business success tip? You need to decide that losing isn't an option. I recall listening to my high school history teacher talk about how the Vikings prepared for war. They prepared with that no lose option.

These ultimate warriors would come to war with a no lose mentality. Before taking the offensive, they would burn every single boat they arrived with. This would seal their resolve to either conquer or die....simple as that. They left themselves with no other options.

So how does that relate to your business? If you thought like the Vikings of old, do you think you could succeed in your business? I would have to say...YES...to that mindset.

It's extremely vital that you know where you want to go. If you have a clear vision of your outcome...then all you have to do is set your goals in a backwards fashion. You will then have the steps needed to progress in your business.

It's critical you do something...this business success tip can't be neglected. Take the needed action and keep doing. Don't get caught waiting for things to happen.

2) Be actively compiling a database of customers. Of all the business success tips, this can't be overlooked. This list will no doubt become your number one asset. If you want long-term success in your business, take this as seriously as breathing. Never stop building your list...never!!

Your customer database will be your best asset in your business. You have the power to literally generate profits year in and year out with a loyal customer list. Selling your products and also those of other companies that closely relate to yours. Just be certain other companies products aren't competing with yours. Use this business success tip and see your business succeed for the long-term.

A business success tip of doing the work once and get paid over and over from that effort. This is the kind of result I'm looking for in my business.

If you want to know what it takes to compile a large, responsive customer list... go to listbuilding.com. Tellman Knudsen practices what he preaches and knows all the ins-outs of list building.

3) Track and evaluate your business. The final one of the successful business tips is to track. Any successful business tracks everything...They know exactly what results they are going to get because of this business success tip. By knowing the real scoop on what's working or not.....you can add or eliminate what's working and not working and cut out losses that could eventually put you right out of business.

So to conclude, take these business success tip to heart. If you do them and act like the Vikings in approaching your business, you will succeed and be so glad you did.
